Milan approach Ralf Rangnick to become new boss

AC Milan has approached former RB Leipzig coach Ralf Rangnick to discuss about his availability as the new coach of the club. Milan isn’t having a good season from the beginning of the game. In 2019 –2020 season, they were in the 13th place in the initial stage of the tournament. Marco Giampaolo was sacked due to the poor performance of the team. Gennaro Gattuso was replaced by him but he only lasted four months. Presently the team is working under Stefano Pioli who has brought considerable changes in the team.

AC Milan presently is not in their best form and is struggling in their games. They are on the point where they will be missing out from European football in the next year. They have lifted the championship seven times but at the present moment, they are in the losing side.

Rangnick has shown stellar performance in the role of the manger. He has bought many changes in the clubs of different leagues. He was the person who led Schalke into 2011 DFB Pokal. He is also the one who transformed RB into one of the leading clubs in Bundesliga.

The 62-year-old coached Red Bull before stepping down from the position of the manager and he has chosen to be the head of sport and development in the same club. Before the suspension of football activity due to coronavirus Milan had discussions with him and he is interested in being the manager of the club.

“I can’t exclude it completely. Milan asked me about my availability, I advised Red Bull and there were talks with my agent. After the contact, the coronavirus outbreak arrived, and more important issues arose. Milan and the Lega have other things to think about," Rangnick told Bild.

Serie A will be resumed by June and the training will begin from May 18. Even though no official dates have been confirmed on the restarting of the campaign, the football committee is not ready to abandon the tournament.
