Ancelotti opens up on rumours linking Isco and Sami Khedira to Everton

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has talked up the possibility of signing Juventus midfielder Sami Khedira in the upcoming transfer windows. At the same time, he has downplayed the prospect of being able to bring in Real Madrid star Isco.

Ancelotti knows both players extremely well after having managed them in the past. Now, he remains a huge fan of the talent, which can help Everton to a great degree. After a strong start to the campaign, Everton have been struggling for form in recent weeks. As a result, their lofty status in the league has dropped down of late.

Isco is reportedly keen on making a move away from Real Madrid even as early as in January. Khedira, meanwhile, has said that he would be interested in the possibility of a move to the Premier League, as he has fallen out of favour at Juventus after the appointment of Andrea Pirlo. It is not a surprise that both players have been linked with a move to Everton, which would have been an unlikely destination in normal times. However, Everton have shown a lot of ambition to bring in Ancelotti as the new boss. Since the start to the season has also been quite good, the club are expected to pump more money in the efforts of reaching the Champions League on a regular basis.
“Isco is a rumour from the press, from the media. I have a good memory of Sami Khedira, he was with me at Real Madrid and was a fantastic professional. I would love to work with him, but unfortunately he's not the only one! I've had fantastic players in my career, I've had good memories of them. But to come here to Everton is another thing to consider," said Ancelotti. Both players could cost a lot in transfer fees and wages.
